The conference, which took place from Tuesday, 19th to Wednesday, 20th June 2024, was centred around the theme, “Strengthening Community Pharmacy Practice for Universal Health Coverage.”

The event brought together community pharmacists from across Lagos to explore innovative business models and foster a positive mindset in the face of economic challenges. The conference featured two key sub-themes: “Innovative Business Models for Community Pharmacists in a High Inflation Economy” and “Mindset Shift: Cultivating Positive Perspectives in the Face of Adversity.”

Pharm. Adewale Oladigbolu, National Chairman of ACPN, emphasised the conference’s goal of equipping pharmacists with innovative knowledge to better serve their communities. “We must continue to learn and stay at the forefront of our profession,” Oladigbolu stated, highlighting the critical role of pharmacists in Nigeria’s healthcare system. With approximately 6,000 pharmacists serving a population of over 200 million, he called for greater collaboration with the Federal Government to enhance healthcare coverage.
